You’ve already watched us teach Jason Derulo about crop tops, heard about Olivia Palermo’s latest fringe obsession and seen some of the best Instagrams and Tweets from Cotton’s 24 Hour Runway Show. Now it’s time to recap a few standout style moments from the event.

Even though the record-breaking fashion show (featuring 1,440 looks!) took place in Miami Beach (where the current temperature is 80 degrees), we spotted three fall-ready looks to try (see above photo). First up, a belted denim dress, layered with a chic gray topper and accessorized with a red fedora. The only tweak you might need to make to this look is adding some tights, because unfortunately, it’s not 80 degrees everywhere.

We have a motto in the PEOPLE StyleWatch office, that you can never own too many denim shirts, which is probably why we’re fans of the next look. The plaid mini skirt is a nod to the school-girl inspired trend which is huge right now. (We’ll leave the whole socks-and-heels situation up to you.)
And our final pick is a fun way to style that fur vest hanging in your closet — with some cropped trousers, ankle booties and a loose long-sleeve top. (Bonus points if you can master that crown plait.)

We also want to give an honorable mention to Olivia Palermo, not only for her shiny hair, but for her effortlessly cool outfit at the event: a classic white button-down, distressed AG Adriano Goldschmied skinnies (that she wears all the time!) and lace-up suede sandals.
