It’s not hard to imagine that dressing like Lady Gaga would be somewhat exhausting. On random Tuesdays or to run errands, she’ll wear sheer dresses, things that aren’t even dresses and headpieces that require the strongest neck in the biz. Triple-stacked platform pumps are like her version of those slides you wear to take out the trash. So, when she steps out in a series of looks that are almost normal — not a slab of meat or outré headpiece to be seen — we take notice. To be clear, we’re not saying she hasn’t had any standard Gaga moments this week, but at this stage in the game, Gaga dressing more or less like a normal celeb is more head-turning than anything else she could wear.

First of all, it’s important to note that the Grammy nominee has been steering clear of platform shoes. For a gal whose go-to nude pump has been an ultra-high pair by Brian Atwood, the conversion to a single sole is pretty major. Her nude spaghetti-strap top echoes the signature bodysuit style of another celeb we can’t stop posting pictures of: (cough) Kim Kardashian. Gaga’s white off-the-shoulder Christian Siriano dress is bodycon but definitely not scandalous, and neither is that ladylike purse or simple topknot.

Plus, let’s be real, her coat collection rivals some of the stars with the most luxe toppers around (Kim again!). Sans the admittedly wacky cat-eye glasses and the bright white eyeshadow seen beneath them, the white coat and single-sole black heels is standard “celeb with a movie to promote in the winter” — chic and understated. And the blue suede, while seeming a tad Carmen Sandiego, just might work on another hat-and-coat aficionado like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Could it be possible that even Gaga is tiring of the dress-up game?
