In honor of New York Fashion Week, our guest contributor this week is the one and only Karlie Kloss! She’s been all over the city this week, but she still took the time to fill us in on her latest fashion find (reason number one million why we love her). Check out what Kloss nabbed, and then scroll down to see what we bought this week, too — and where to pick up our finds for yourself.

Karlie Kloss, Model: I was in Majorca [Spain] recently and I bought this beautiful straw purse. It’s my carryall and it costs literally next to nothing, but I like it as much as my designer bags. It’s really beautifully-made straw, more summery I guess, but it’s timeless — and very cheap!

Editor’s note: Since Kloss was all done up for NYFW when she told PEOPLE about her fall steal, she (understandably) didn’t have the bag with her. But her shopping lesson still stands: Always keep your eyes peeled for fashion finds when you’re abroad. Always.

Pamela Edwards-Christiani, Style and Beauty Editor: I’ve been on the hunt for pretty fall shoes with a little punch. And I finally found a pair! So shiny and blue! I plan to wear these beautiful oxfords with everything from full skirts to cropped skinny jeans.

And while they are a little on the pricey side ($146), I know that I’ll wear them to death, so they’re well worth it to me. Plus, I took the liberty of doing some justification math, and if my calculations are correct, my cost-per-wear should be about $2 a day by Christmas. Again: worth it.

Storm Heitman, Contributor: Maybe it’s my upbringing in the cloudy Pacific Northwest, but when it comes to my personal style, I am just so not a summer person. While most people enjoy the warmer months as respite from having to layer up, I pine away all summer long, longing for the crispness of fall to return.

So when I stepped out into some surprisingly chilly evening air last week, I took it as a sign that this Burkman Bros. Fleece Pullover and I were meant to be together. I first fell in love with it at the launch party for Shopbop’s new male counterpart, East Dane, and while it’s a bit beyond my normal price point ($155), I received a 35% off discount and I consider it an investment piece. I can see myself happily sipping pumpkin spiced lattes in this sweater for many years to come.

Annie Daly, News Editor: There are many things I love about my neighborhood on the upper west side of Manhattan. I love being near Central Park, I love the coffee guy on my corner (“French vanilla! Two Splendas! Coming right up!”), and, perhaps to my bank account’s dismay, I love the fact that I am three blocks away from Zara.

Which is why I didn’t freak out all that much when I realized that I’d lost my black skinny jeans when I was on my family vacation in North Carolina. (You can keep your “Way to lose your pants, Annie” comments to yourselves, thanks.) I knew I could count on Zara, and I was right. I got these as my replacement pair, and I love them! They’re so soft and they fit so well that I (almost) don’t care about the fact that I lost my old pair in the first place.

Now, we’re guessing that you probably haven’t gone to Majorca lately (and if you have, props!), but that doesn’t mean you don’t have a fun fall-fashion-find story to tell. Spill!
